| Lord Ganesh, Shree Siddhivinayak Temple |
Ganesh, the son of Lord Shiva is the presiding deity, faithfully invoked and dedicatedly worshipped by a large number of devotees. The idol of Shree Siddhivinayak is monolithic, carved from black stone spanning across a height of 2.5 ft and a width of 2 ft, with the trunk curved to the right which is unique because most other Ganesha idols have trunks that curve to the left. The upper right hand holds a lotus, while the left hand holds an axe. The lower right hand holds a rosary and the lower left hand holds a 'modaka'. Around the neck is the snake like sacred thread. The idols of Riddhi and Siddhi, Goddesses of success, riches and prosperity are on either side of Shree Siddhivinayak.
Durga
devi, Lord Hanuman on the others have been placed on the right while
wall lord Ayyappan made of Pancha loham (five types of metals) like
the idol of the sabari malai hills occupies the space along the left
wall. Lord Dhakshina moorthi (Guru Bhagwan) takes his place on the
right side of lord Iyyappa. Right behind the main shrine, lord Shiva,
lord Nagarajar and Nagamma lingas have been placed under the pimple
tree. The Navagrihas are placed on the right side of the temple.
